Characterised by its picturesque coastline and green hills, the region is increasingly exposed to three major climate risks: coastal and pluvial flooding, as well as more frequent and severe heatwaves.

The co-construction of the regional adaptation plan is expected to begin in September 2026, focusing on four priority climate risks: flooding, summer water scarcity, sea-level rise, and the emerging risk of extreme heat.
